Hierarchical Hybrid Modeling and Control of Cognitive Manufacturing Systems

چکیده
In current manufacturing systems, short times for product development and ramp-up as well as high production rates and customized products are of increasing importance. To push the efficiency (and thus the economic gain) of production further, recent investigations combine aspects of flexible manufacturing with technical cognition – the latter refers to a system’s capability to perceive a momentary situation and to pro-actively derive a production scheme that maximizes profit. Within this context, the contribution of this paper is twofold: (1) a hierarchical modeling scheme is presented which is suitable to represent dynamics depending on a perceived situation, (2) an approach to adapt production online to changes in product specifications or production constraints by combining high-level optimal plan generation with low-level learningand model-based control.

Neuro-ACT Cognitive Architecture Applications in Modeling Driver’s Steering Behavior in Turns
Cognitive Architectures (CAs) are the core of artificial cognitive systems. A CA is supposed to specify the human brain at a level of abstraction suitable for explaining how it achieves the functions of the mind. Over the years a number of distinct CAs have been proposed by different authors and their limitations and potentials were investigated. These CAs are usually classified as symbolic and...
متن کاملOptimal design of supply chain network under uncertainty environment using hybrid analytical and simulation modeling approach
Models that aim to optimize the design of supply chain networks have gained more interest in the supply chain literature. Mixed-integer linear programming and discrete-event simulation are widely used for such an optimization problem. We present a hybrid approach to support decisions for supply chain network design using a combination of analytical and discrete-event simulation models. The prop...
متن کاملIntelligent agent based framework for manufacturing systems control
Existing modeling frameworks for manufacturing system control can be classified into hierarchical, heterarchical, and hybrid control frameworks. The main drawbacks of existing frameworks are discussed in this paper. A new hybrid modeling framework is also described. It is a hybrid of the two: hierarchical and heterarchical frameworks. In this proposed framework, entities (e.g., parts) and resou...
متن کاملHierarchical Control Strategy of Heat and Power for Zero Energy Buildings including Hybrid Fuel Cell/Photovoltaic Power Sources and Plug-in Electric Vehicle
This paper presents a hierarchical control strategy for heat and electric power control of a building integrating hybrid renewable power sources including photovoltaic, fuel cell and battery energy storage with Plug-in Electric Vehicles (PEV) in smart distribution systems. Because of the controllability of fuel cell power, this power sources plays the main role for providing heat and electric p...

In the last two decades, product recovery systems have received increasing attention due to several reasons such as new governmental regulations and economic advantages. One of the most important activities of these systems is to assign returned products to suitable reverse manufacturing alternatives. Uncertainty of returned products in terms of quantity, quality, and time complicates the decis...
